Figure Practice in Oil 4

Continuing my exploration of different styles and painting methods, this piece was painted extensively with a palette knife (& 2 (size 4) flats), scraping down & reapplying the paint, working in and out of the form to create the ethereal soft edged look needed for this delicate piece..

Oil on Canvas
Size: 6 x 3.8 Inches

A quick gestural pre-drawing of the form was done in burnt umber+turps with a small (000) round brush. The hues and values of the paint would change the look of the structure later, so I tried not to spend too much time on this initial drawing, just making sure the basic structure and form were captured roughly as
accurately as possible.

Thank you for the visit guys!.. :)
