Beauty Alla Prima Aceo

This piece was a bit of an experiment. Firstly, thin linen cloth was mounted on to the primed card I usually use for my ACEO's , then secondly, I gave an Acrylic tone to the ground, and then painted a sorta white ghostly under-painting of the flower before proceeding with oil paint. This technique could work for certain subjects with a bit more tweaking, but overall not quite optimal in this instance me thinks..
