Ahh.. Water.. :)

Here's my latest still life ACEO painted alla prima from life!

'Half Full'
Oil on Texturally Primed Card, backed with Japanese Rice Paper
Size : 2.5 Inches x 3.5 Inches

It was painted through out with only a large (size 10) flat synthetic brush again..

Otherwise I went about it a bit differently this time, doing a pre-drawing with vine charcoal and pre-mixing the main hues that I would need before beginning the painting. This was to ensure full attention could be given to laying down the correct hue with my first stroke, with minimal adjustment after. 

I find working this way is really great at focusing ones attention,.. Every stroke counts !... :)
